I had visited Chincoteague and Assateague as a child (of course after reading Misty) and hadn't been able to return until 2012 when my best friend and I discovered that our campsite was only a half hour away from Chincoteague. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to return until August of 2017 as a mini vacation away from the stress of planning my wedding. And I just completely fell in love, again. We have been back to the islands multiple times in the past few years and I loved taking pictures of the ponies. Photography is my passion and a way to escape depression that I have been dealing with for a good part of the last 15 years of my life. Using both DSC photography's guide books and Gina's guide book I have been able to keep track of most of the horses I have photographed. So a big shout out and thank you to them for all of their hard work and dedication! Now I'm not a professional by any means, I have a lot left to learn, some pictures are not the best quality but I still wanted to share them and I'm going to keep striving towards that goal of professional photographer and I would like to share those photos with all of those who share the same passion and love for these ponies as I do!If you have read of this long and boring about me, Thank you. I hope you enjoy as much as I do!- Ashley ❤
